Mriganayani is a Swarnachari Silk Sari. The White Silk body is luxurious with embroidery running all over the body and intricate motifs in golden and red thread in the Pallu. The Swarnachari Sari is inspired by deer or “Mriga“.

The term “Mriga” in Sanskrit refers to a deer, an animal that holds significant symbolic and cultural importance in ancient Indian literature, art, and mythology. The deer, or Mriga, is admired for its grace, gentleness, and beauty, and it frequently appears in various contexts in Indian tradition.

In Hindu mythology, the deer is associated with various deities. Goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom and learning, is sometimes depicted with a deer. Lord Shiva, in his form as Mrigavyadha (the deer hunter), and the god of the moon, Chandra, are also connected with deer symbolism.
